Disability Design Innovations LLC -
was founded in the spring of
2008 to develop a "New Mechanism" or method of assisting Individuals with
Disabilities (IWD's) in obtaining gainful employment. It
is common knowledge that a 'good job' or 'gainful employment'
directly impacts the 'Quality of Life' for Millions of
Americans.
Imagine not having
the opportunity to improve the 'quality of life' for yourself
[or your family] because there
aren't any good jobs available? It's a huge discouragement,
and is exactly the reality facing far too many IWD's in America today.
Disability Design Innovations - (DDI)

was established with a
clear purpose:
The
Research, Design, Development, and Implementation of 'Durable
Industrial Assistive Technology Devices' (DIATD's)
into the American workplace.
DDI understands the current 'system' for employment of IWD's is
dependant upon [the laws that Govern] The Americans with
Disabilities Act (ADA). It is a wonderful law, however, there
are so many instances where the encouragement for success is
non-existent.
There are low level
[low paying] jobs that provide little chance of advancement or substantial
pay increases. Oh, and what if an IWD does get a job to try and
get ahead? Social Security Disability Income (SSDI)
restrictions combined with the fear of no medical insurance
[Medicare/Medicaid that is currently packaged with SSDI] severely limit
employment opportunities for IWD's.
These
are the same
restrictions that encourage dependence at the Federal, state, and
even the local level.
DDI strongly believes that
correcting the current 'system' by involving the best of the
best corporations, organizations,
foundations, and institutions in the United States; then
affording them the structure and ability to communicate while working
together, we CAN make a difference in the life style, quality
of life, and buying power
of an entire segment of the American population!
